Payment Processing
OnAccess enables software companies to integrate payment capabilities through two primary approaches based on transaction context.
Customer Present (CP) Payments
Customer present payments occur when customers are physically present at the point of sale, using payment methods such as contactless, chip and PIN, swipe, or mobile wallets.
CP transactions utilize card readers or electronic point-of-sale (POS) terminals to securely capture payment information.
OnAccess provides a unified API for processing CP transactions, enabling SoftCos to deliver seamless in-person payment experiences to their business customers.

Customer Not Present (CNP) Payments
Customer not present payments occur remotely through online stores, phone orders, or subscription services where the customer is not physically present during the transaction.
CNP payments are categorized by who initiates the transaction - customer-initiated or merchant-initiated.
Customer-Initiated Transaction (CIT)
A CIT occurs when the customer initiates payment through ecommerce or mail order/telephone order (MOTO) channels.
OnAccess supports CIT processing through hosted payment pages that provide secure, PCI-compliant payment capture.

Merchant-Initiated Transaction (MIT)
An MIT occurs when the merchant initiates payment based on prior customer authorization to store and use their payment credentials.
Also known as card-on-file payments, MITs commonly support subscription-based and recurring payment models.
Payment Links
Payment requests can also be sent to customers by invoice, email, SMS or QR code, directing them to a hosted payment page.
